The Bluetooth-Based Traffic Analysis System detects the MAC addresses of Bluetooth-enabled devices such as in-car Bluetooth kits, mobile phones, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, and tablets that move with vehicles, and calculates average travel times between selected points. BlueSign is installed at a minimum of two locations.
As vehicles pass these points, the system detects Bluetooth devices, transmits their MAC addresses to central servers in real time, and the central server calculates the average travel time between the selected points.

The average travel times obtained by the system are shared with drivers in real time via the mobile application or variable message signs (VMS). In this way, drivers are kept informed about traffic density in the city and their expected travel times.
