Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for signalization operates within a time less than 20 ms when primary power source is lost at a signalized intersection. It is provide uninterrupted power to the intersection controller and all traffic lights lamps for at least 3 hours (optionally changeable). By this way, the safety and continues operation of the signalized intersections are guaranteed even the primary power sources are lost.
The UPS can automatically detect the input source (with or without AC main power source) and then adjust its internal settings. The user can select the priority operation mode (bypass, charger, inverter, solar, main power source). In addition, the selection of charging current, charging cut-off current and charging switching current are available to the user. The UPS system includes solar panel input. Therefore, the batteries charging and the system feeding can be performed with solar energy.
